Brilliant guitar driven melodic power metal sounding like DIO meets SYMPHONY X, but oh so much more in there with the middle eastern flavors added in, a VERY strong debut with mature songwriting, and some extremely tasty technical prowess showing without over the top pyrotechnics. The bands vocalist has a masculine ruff edge and creates beautiful melodies and memorable chorus lines that draw the listener in again and again. Edgend's debut  "A New Identity" will surely solidify this bands place in metal history as an extremely solid start, I'm already waiting for number two!

This will surprise you, DO NOT OVERLOOK, you will regret!

Fantastic album from start to finish. I'm ABSOLUTELY hooked! Buy it immediately.

This album does not sound like a typical debut cd. "A New Identity" sounds like the band has been doing this for years, and while you can
compare them to this or that metal band, Edgend have their own signature sound nailed! The layered sonic texture and technically tight individual
performances make this a must have for any metalhead. This cd is also clean lyrically so Christian metalheads like me can enjoy it as well.

I really enjoyed this album and recommend buying it.

EDGEND is a highly technical ball of energy. There are so many tempo and time changes on this CD that it leads the listener on an incredible sonic
journey. I agree with the description on the Nightmare website, Dio meets SYMPHONY X, but I would add there is something very Dream Theatre about it.
Metal knows no boundaries and what gives this CD that undefinable something extra is that the band is from Israel. A must listen.
