Prisma's sound isn't only progressive-rock. They love working on new ideas and letting these ideas flow into their songs.

The songs have a lot of technical finesses, psychedelic, hypnotic melodies, but they always keep their toughness. Their different influences and their presence can capture anyone.

The compact and powerful connection between the musicians and the striking songwriting are the bands trademarks.

Live they work with a formation called "Pixel Punx". They work on the creative visual part on stage, which makes the live-act even more interesting.

All around great album with very good intelligent song writing & very tasty guitar playing. 1633, God of Speed, City of Bones are all top tunes with some very nice melodic guitar work. rnThe album ends off with the 4 song suite based on Blaze's struggles with his wife's death. Each song is loaded with emotion yet they still rock, albeit at a slightly slower pace than the rest of the album. Not having heard alot of his past work, this album has me smiling as the "replay" continues on a regular basis.

Great sampler of what is destined to be a killer metal summer.Halcyon Way have fine tuned their skills from their debut and start this download with two stellar tracks that showcase their growth as songwriters and musicians. Seven Kingdoms' two tracks show that straight up solid song writing and playing are still the winning combination. Fantastic vocals backed by a cohesive sound by a band that can deliver. Fracture and their tracks demonstrate that a band can still pay homage to artists and genres that came before them and still maintain originality and creativity in doing so. Forevers Edge have finely tuned their progressive power metal song-smith talents and come up with two tracks that balance the individual talents of those involved with strong melodies and imaginative passages. And if these are "pre-release demos", I am very excited to hear what Prototype will release as finished product as these tracks are as impressive as the rest of the songs on this d/l. A superb sampling of the talent pool that is within the Nightmare Records family of releases. A steal for the price as every track is worth the pennies spent.
