"Images Of Eden" or more aptly, "Visions Of A Perfect World" - We all know that the world we live in is very far from perfect. In fact, it is safe to say that we live in a world full of hatred, death, lies, war, sorrow, etc... "Eden" describes the inner peace, serenity, strength, and love that lies within us all. The weight of the world every day can be a heavy burden on us, but one must separate themselves and their own lives from the outside world and find their own "Eden".

Quality of life should not be judged by one's surroundings, but how one adapts to and deals with their surroundings, because a perfect world can truely exist. It can be found inside one's own mind, body and soul. You can choose to exist in a apathetic, dismal world of negativity- or you can choose to find the "Eden" that lies within you... because it certainly does not lie outside your front door.

If any band defies classification it's Images of Eden, but, for the sake of description I'll call them power progressive metal. Sunlight of the Spirit
is definitely one great CD that emobodies all that is good about power, prog and symphonic metal. IOE are very adept at moving from the hard power
chords to the symphonic melodies to the classical instrumentation to the atmospheric prog and back. Few bands can blend such things as violins and
piano with searing guitars and soaring keys and hard bass lines, but IOE does this extremely well on this CD, and does so flawlessly. This is
definitely a band that belongs in the collection of every power, prog, symph and just plain metal fan. BTW, thier follow-up, Rebuilding the Ruins is
eqaully as awesome.
